The investors behind ROI AI Capital

The People Behind the Portfolio

Our team combines deep operational experience in enterprise technology with years of early-stage investment practice. We are operators-turned-investors who know what seed-stage founders need.

Olivia Scott, CEO of ROI AI Capital

Olivia Scott

Chief Executive Officer

Olivia Scott is CEO of ROI AI Capital, where she leads the firm's investment strategy and portfolio development across enterprise software and HR technology. She co-founded the firm in 2022 with the conviction that seed-stage enterprise founders deserve a deeply specialized, founder-aligned investor. Prior to founding ROI AI Capital, Olivia spent a decade in enterprise SaaS product and strategy roles at two Fortune 500 technology companies, where she led go-to-market initiatives and product launches across North America and EMEA. She brings direct experience scaling enterprise sales motions and navigating complex procurement cycles. Olivia's investment philosophy centers on backing founders with non-consensus insight about enterprise customer problems. She is drawn to founders who combine deep domain expertise with the tenacity to build lasting category leaders. Outside of investing, Olivia mentors early-stage female founders through the Austin startup community.

Yuki Sato, Partner at ROI AI Capital

Yuki Sato

Partner

Yuki Sato is a Partner at ROI AI Capital, focused on identifying and supporting seed-stage investments in HR technology, talent platforms, and workforce analytics. She joined ROI AI Capital at its founding in 2022, bringing a background in both HR software product management and venture investing. Before joining the firm, Yuki held product leadership roles at enterprise HR technology companies, where she built and shipped core features for workforce planning and talent intelligence products used by hundreds of enterprise clients. She also spent time as an associate at an early-stage fund focused on future-of-work companies. Yuki believes the next decade of HR technology will be defined by AI-native platforms that move well beyond traditional HRIS infrastructure. She is particularly drawn to founders building in talent acquisition and people analytics. Yuki holds an MBA from a leading US business school.

Clara Russo, Venture Partner at ROI AI Capital

Clara Russo

Venture Partner

Clara Russo serves as a Venture Partner at ROI AI Capital, contributing strategic guidance and sourcing support across the firm's enterprise software portfolio. She brings a distinguished record of advising and investing in B2B software businesses from seed through growth. Clara has spent her career across enterprise software investing and operational leadership, having served as an executive at a scale-up vertical SaaS business before transitioning to early-stage investing. She has a particular focus on vertical SaaS, workflow automation, and AI-native enterprise tooling. Clara's investment thesis is rooted in the belief that enterprise software's biggest opportunities lie in underserved verticals where incumbents have underinvested in modern, API-first architecture. She brings a rigorous framework for evaluating product-market fit and go-to-market efficiency at the seed stage.

Our Commitment to Founders

Genuine Partnership

We are active board members and sounding boards, not passive observers. Every investment comes with the full engagement of our team across talent, strategy, and customer development.

Fast Decisions

Seed-stage founders move quickly. We make investment decisions in days, not weeks, and communicate clearly throughout the process. Founders deserve to know where they stand.

Aligned Incentives

We invest our own capital alongside our fund, ensuring our interests are fully aligned with the founders and companies we back. Our success depends entirely on their success.
